CLASS III   ADULT SEWING

Pleasant Valley & Pleasant Hill FCE Clubs, Superintendents

 

Entry time:  All entries will be taken

Saturday, August 4, 2007 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Domestic Arts Building

RULES & REGULATIONS:

1.   Exhibitor must be a resident of Obion County or a member of an Obion County FCE Club.

2.   Entries:  Adult Sewing will be taken on Saturday, August 4, 2007 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Domestic Arts building.

3.   Exhibitor must be 18 years of age or older.

4.   Entries must be the work of the exhibitor.

5.   The department superintendents shall be in complete charge of arranging and showing the exhibits.

6.   No exhibitor may have more than one entry in any one lot.

7.   Entries must have been made since the 2005 Fair (the last two years).  No item that has previously won a blue ribbon is eligible for entry.

8.   Only adult clothing will be accepted in the adult categories.  Children’s clothing made by an adult will be accepted in the children’s categories.

9.   NO PURCHASED ITEMS WILL BE ACCEPTED, except for Lot 61.

10. No soiled articles will be accepted.

11. Entries will not be released until 9:00 a.m. Monday following the Fair.

BEST DRESSED CLOSET

Selected from the Closet of One Adult Individual

Contest Sponsored by the Obion County Fair

$ 25.00 will be awarded to the Winner

Contest Rules:  A “BEST DRESSED CLOSET” winner will be selected from those who make entries in the Adult Sewing Department - Clothing lots.  To be eligible, contestants must make at least 5 entries in the Sewing Department (clothing lots) and must complete and submit an application form when entries are made.

A “Best Dressed Closet” will be chosen on the basis of Blue Ribbons (1st place) won.  If a tie exists, then the Red (2nd ) and White (3rd) will be counted to select the winner.  Persons who have won two years consecutively will be retired as Queen Supreme.  They will not be allowed to compete for THIS AWARD for three (3) years, but may continue to enter  exhibits for ribbons and premiums.
