First Place $ 100.00
Contest Rules
1. The Green Thumb Award will be selected from
those who make at least 10 entries in Lots 1 - 56.
2. Winner will be chosen on the basis of total
ribbon points as follows:
Blue ribbon - 10 points; Red ribbon - 5 points;
White ribbon - 2 points.
In case of a tie, the most blue ribbons win.
This department is open to Adults
and Juniors.
RULES & REGULATIONS:
1. Exhibitor must be resident of
Obion County , attend an Obion County School, or be a member of an Obion County
FCE Club.
2. Entries: Horticulture entries
will be taken on Saturday, August 11, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
3. No exhibitor may have more than
one entry in any one lot.
4. All entries MUST BE GROWN BY
THE EXHIBITOR. No commercially grown fruits or vegetables will be permitted in
competition.
5. Exhibits must be from this
year’s production.
6. All fruits and vegetables will
be judged on uniformity in size, shape and color; being free from cuts, bruises,
rots and other defects.
7. Spoiled exhibits will be removed
from display during Fair week.
8. Entries will not be released
until 9 a.m. Monday following the Fair.
9. In the Biggest Categories - ONLY
FIRST PLACE WILL BE AWARDED.
